FASHION: Trade In / Trade Up — In 2026, Fashion will be less about consumption, and more about experience
In this section, we talk about how secondhand suits and up—cycling clothes are reshaping how culture assigns value to fashion. Having now completed over 500 personal private commissions, this unique trial is still in its prototype infancy—where clothing is either made for purpose, traded in, restored, or completely reimagined
At its most critical, we are championing restoration and recirculation—by asking customers to trade in something unwanted for a cash-credit, for a more positive circular interaction.
How it works:
‘Technology is used to clarify the buyer’s eye, helping to better understand how a new dress or a suit translates from an idea into 1—off fashion pieces.’
Trade Up
Use trade-in credits to shop for something different. Redeem against bespoke, couture and concept clothing lines, or save up credits until you really need something important.
Trade In
Hand-in your unwanted apparel, footwear or bags for cash. Have it assessed, or restored, or give it up entirely for instant credit towards something new, personally tailored, and wanted.

SELECTED CASE STUDIES:
What if Henry Moore designed climate-adaptable architecture? If you were a MACHINE what MACHINE would you be? Questions asked are designed to be explored and resolved. Interested parties and clients are invited to view a cross-section of commissioned and independent work, spanning brand identities, refreshes and campaigns, websites, installations, and editorial formats. A—HUMAN collaborates with organisations, and founders on special projects that require inventive structure and strong creative direction. If you’re building something that needs a clear brand space — or something so new it doesn’t yet fit a format — we take that on too. (Work 01 / Work 02)
